Evelyn is always moving, always reaching, and getting darn good at walking. Even gets up some pretty good speed when she's stealing something from you and making her giggly getaway.
Have to watch what we give her even more now because she's getting to be an expert at opening things. I watched her screw off a cap the other day. I was like "what?!" That seems pretty sophisticated to me. But she watches us like a hawk and learns tirelessly -- she discovered the chapstick in the bottom of my purse and I watched in amazement as she, efficiently and without pause, took off the little white cap, proceeded to smear chapstick all over her face, and then expertly replaced the cap and took off down the hallway. As if she'd done it a million times. But of course, she's watched me do it a million times. So I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

Tag had a rough morning this past week -- we're redoing our kitchen and it's gutted right now so we're both a bit out of sorts with the heart of our home missing. He spilled his entire mug of coffee on the bed and had to pull the bed apart to wash everything, and Evelyn got the better of him when he failed to notice that she somehow nabbed a lipstick, opened the top, and dug her little fingers into the barrel to scoop out the contents...smearing lipstick all over his trousers. Quick as a bug, that little girl.
Tag can't resist her for a split second; he commented to no one in particular the other day when she smiled and cooed and toddled into the room he was in, "You are so incredibly cute I can hardly stand it."
I am loving the toddler stage -- able to put her in those adorable little dresses that have hung in the closet all this time.
Evey's battling a little sinus infection after having been wonderfully healthy for weeks and weeks. Thank goodness teething has taken a break. Still just the one upper tooth poking through -- a snaggle tooth on the far right. Such a goofy irresistible grin. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous little bundle of perfection.
I can just picture her getaway giggle now...love <3
